Jeanne N. Walker Sinclair, MS.Ed.

Sailing has been at the core of my life for over 30 years, shaping both my personal passions and professional career. I first learned to sail recreationally as a teenager through the United States Navy’s Moral Welfare and Recreation program. My competitive sailing journey took off at Old Dominion University, where I was a member of the Intercollegiate Sailing Team from 1994 to 1997. Since then, I have dedicated my career to sailing in many capacities—race coach, instructor, collegiate sailing coach, delivery captain, and business owner. My expertise spans program administration, marketing, curriculum development, staff training, instructor certification, regatta coaching, and race course management. As a Master Instructor Trainer for US Sailing, I have trained and certified over 900 instructors while also contributing to curriculum development and mentoring new trainers.

Beyond coaching and instruction, I have owned and operated sailing businesses, including Rincon Sailing, where I implemented bilingual programs and expanded access to sailing in Puerto Rico. My background also includes extensive chartering experience in the British Virgin Islands and international yacht deliveries across the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Additionally, I have shared my knowledge through online training programs, ensuring that sailing education remains accessible to a broad audience.

With a Master of Science in Education and numerous industry certifications—including US Sailing Instructor Trainer credentials and US Powerboating certification—I am committed to fostering accessibility in sailing and setting high standards for instructor development. My career is a testament to my dedication to advancing sailing education, competition, and community outreach.
